This Is Somehow Going To Fit

There is quite a bit to mention in this post and again, I may or may not be able to get through all of it since I am really tired as I type, but I don’t want the next post to be ridiculously long as this one will be, so here goes. At the moment, I can’t remember what the “mess” referred to in the last post, but maybe it will come up later as I type this.

Tuesday (yesterday) was just another day at work and then shortly afterward, I was supposed to meet BART Boy. We had originally scheduled to meet at 3:00pm, but he called back and said that the ferry would leave around 2:30pm, so that meant I needed to get there by about 2:15 at the latest. I was trying to rush, but ended up missing that train, so we walked around the area for a bit. We got some milkshakes and fries to curb our appetite before we headed into SF. The next ferry was at 4:30 so it was quite a wait until then, but when you’re having a good time, time flies by, right?

On the ferry we went; it was actually a short ride to the pier, but since we were dropped off at Pier 2, we had to walk all the way to 39, which, believe it or not, actually takes a while to get there. Once we did, we bought some saltwater taffy. We wanted to see a show by Merrie Mary, so we walked into a store for a bit. What happened in the store? I broke Santa’s foot!! What happened was that as I was trying to reach for something, my purse knocked down on of the Santa dolls and his foot was porcelain, so it broke. I thought I would have to pay for it, but the manager/associate walked by and said not to worry about it. He also jokingly said that although the store was going to be fine, I may not be since I had to live with the fact that I had broken Santa’s foot. He said this because he saw how upset I was and thought it would be funny. I wasn’t crying upset; I was just shocked since I have never broken anything in a store before and that was my first time and of course, it’s Santa.

Anyway, so we watch her show. It’s cute and short, but entertaining. Then we went on a walk up the pier until we would hit the Inn-N-Out Burger place. Along the way we stopped into a few stores here and there. I found some really cool candles for MH because it’s his birthday coming up and although he doesn’t want to do anything special, I thought I could do just something really small like buying him chicken nuggets and sticking a candle in it. But right, the candles. They’re cool because they spell out his name, so I’m going to have to make sure I have a good amount of nuggets.

We finally reached Inn-N-Out and had a good dinner. I know, not the fanciest place to go, but we were talking about it last time we met because in the movie, Iron Man, the character asks for a burger and gets it from Burger King, except BART Boy and I agreed that Inn-N-Out would have been a better choice. We finished our dinner and as we were walking out, we saw this man using aerosol cans of paint to make really interesting paintings. Some of them were really cool and it was amazing to see what he could do in just ten minutes. I wanted to buy something, but I had to remind myself that whatever it was that I would buy, it would be useless.

It was pretty late, so we figured that the ferry wouldn’t be running anymore and decided to take the BART back. We were really tired from the walking so we ended up getting on the cable car which was pretty okay. I think it would have been better if we had sat on the outside, but since he didn’t have a jacket, it would have been cold and I didn’t want that for him.

It was a good date. We had to part ways when his stop came along, but it was okay. Maybe next time, and yes there will be a next time, will be better when it won’t have such an awkward goodbye stage.

And that was Tuesday. I was out pretty much all day from that.

And today is Wednesday. I have to admit though that it started off pretty badly. When I got to work, my allergies started acting up so I was sneezing and for some reason, my right eye was really irritated. I was unprepared for both events, so I had to go next door to Walgreens to buy some items that if I had been prepared, wouldn’t have needed. I had to buy eye drops to remove the redness, I had to buy contact lens solution that came with a case so I could put my right eye in it, I had to buy a hair band and hair clips to fashionably keep the hair out of my face, and lastly, I had to buy the medicine for my allergies. My eye was miserable and even now, it’s still tender.

Then as I was trying to get ready for my date with Asian Dude, I thought that I would call the school to check the status of my loans and my admissions. First, I called the Financial Aid Office and even though the machine said my approximate wait time would have been only three minutes, those three minutes turned into about 20 minutes. They told me that the loans had just been sent to my account, even though according to the summer sessions website, was supposed to have been done a week ago, but they didn’t. Then I called (and waited again, for another “3-minute” call) the Billing and Payment Services to ask them the approximate time for the process of getting my refund check, and they said it could take from 7 days to 21 days and at this point, I don’t have 21 days! Then she said something was wrong with my registration and that I would have to call them to get it sorted out. I did, waited again, but again, they weren’t very helpful.

Okay. I’m sorry I have to stop mid-post like this but the words are seriously just not being focused on the screen and I’m getting more typos than I need. Good night.
