This Is The Rainy Day
I’ve really got to keep up with this updating thing, but lately, I’ve been having trouble trying to update my main blog with the whole Blog365 thing.
Hey, my nails are getting long! Well, I noticed it yesterday, but I’ve been noticing that my nails hit the keys a little more now and it’s a little uncomfortable, but I can deal with it.
So… updates.
This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday for the Catholic church at least and for the last two Wednesdays, I’ve attended a lector orientation workshop. A lector is the middle point between God and the congregation when spreading the word. In simple terms, I get to read out of the bible for mass. In a mass, there are always three readings; the first two are from letters/book and the third is the gospel reading (not to be mistaken for the homily). I’m not very good at explaining this whole process because I’m afraid to disrespect the process and/or miss a few things, so I say… Google it.
Anyway, I suppose that they were short on readers for this coming Wednesday, so the director for this gave me a call a few days ago and said that if I wanted to, I could do the first reading for the 5:30pm mass. I’m excited yet scared at the same time! I just hope that I don’t stumble or stutter my words and that I’ll be able to speak like we had practiced.
Let’s see… what else… Oh. I’m thinking about applying to the Social Welfare major. Why? Well, they only have three prerequisites and I’ve already taken two of the three and the last one is Introduction to Sociology, so it doesn’t sound all that bad, right? Since I’m not a registered student at UC Berkeley and am taking that Asian and Asian American Film Studies course at Berkeley City, I thought I’d try to add their Intro to Sociology course. I just attended the class earlier this morning and it seems like it will be a manageable course to take.
Yes, I’m still looking for a job. Damn it.
