This Is So Painful
You know that phrase “beauty hurts?” Well, it does. I just spent about half an hour in the shower just trying to wash off all of the hair dye from my long, long hair. Before that, I spent at least half an hour putting the dye on, trying to make sure not to get it stained on furniture… which I failed at because I was too lazy to put newspapers on the sink counters. Smart, I know, I know. On top of all that, I lost so much hair. So much goddamn hair. And then the normal place I go for my nails screwed up my hair cut too. Arg. I knew not to do it, I knew it. I knew they were only good for men’s hair and nails, but no. I didn’t listen to my inner voice. Damn that inner voice.
Well, at least I got my toes done. They’re pretty and I like them like that.
On the whole, I feel a little better. I’m just been trying to keep busy and not pay attention to things. Then again, I’ve noticed that for the last few weeks, Fridays usually seem to be my “happiest” days anyway, so I don’t know what’s going on with that.
Anyway, there’s an office party for The Daily Cal staffers that I’m heading out to and I need to get ready.
