This Is The First One

Why is it that when I have to study, I find ways to procrastinate in productive ways? What I mean by that is when I have to study, I’ll feel the urge to clean, fix, or do something that I should have done either before, or would have done after studying. Today, I put up my curtains and fixed my table, which I admit took a while not because I couldn’t do it, mind you, but because it’s a little tricker to mount up a curtain rod when you’re doing it yourself on a window that’s about nine feet long. But it is up and I am happy because now people cannot peer into my room. Yes.

So I watched Private Practice finally and I think it’s definitely going to have a different from Grey’s Anatomy. But I just watched the series premiere, so let’s wait a few more episodes.

Sometimes I feel as if TV can actually be somewhat of a good influence. I mean, for example, let’s say you’re in a similar situation as the character(s) on the show/movie. Well, there’s always a chance that the plot will give you a different perspective, a different take on things. I was watching the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy yesterday and near the end, *spoiler ahead* Meredith and Derek decide to break up and her narration with their actions and feelings just made me feel as if I was Meredith for a moment, as if I were in that situation. In a sense, I am and I am not. I mean, I have SB, but right now that’s a bit… complicated and it’s always nice to get a different perspective.

Which is why I love having different friends because you never know what they’re going to say, what they’re going to tell you. Sometimes, it’s not what you want to hear, sometimes it’s not what you would expect to hear, but in the end, they all care for you and just want to see you happy.

Anyway, off to do something productive.
