When Today Was Day Two
… of Spring break. I really like the relaxation and slow pace of this week. It makes everything else just as awesome.
Lately, I’ve been feeling as if my mind’s been spewing out a whole mess load of philosophical things.

Break in post

This just in: Some idiot punk just tried to mug my mid-50s mother. Bastard. Some idiot minor decided to try and mug my mother, one at the end of the month (’cause nobody really has money anyway) and two when she had bags in both of her hands. Picture this: A woman has a purse slung on her shoulder. She has gone grocery shopping and has her hands full of shopping bags. Now, if you were this kid, would it be sensible to try and snatch the purse from this woman? Remember that this purse not only needs to slide off the woman’s arms, but also the bags of food. Idiot I tell you, idiot. And to make it worse for him, he’s already on probation.
More news: I’m an idiot. See, I have a tendency to try and pick up anything that starts to fall around me, right? It’s a natural reflex so as I was helping my mother prepare the chicken (since she has a scraped palm, it would make it more troublesome if she tried to handle it herself), the knife fell and I rushed to pick it up. Well, lucky for me (note the sarcasm), I ended up grabbing it on the wrong ends so I have a bit of a cut. It’s not too deep, but it did get bloody.
So I got yelled at today by the maintenance people at the swim center. See, my plan is to go in at the end of the adult swim so that way I don’t have to pay to get in and because they’ll stop caring by then. I ended up getting there at 1:15 or so, right when they were getting ready to go in. I wasn’t the last one that needed the locker room, but a man ended up checking to see if someone was in there and I had to tell him that I was the last one. He yelled at me because had I not been there, the other two that came in after me wouldn’t have come in anyway. So my being late helped them, but didn’t really help him. Oops.
I also ran into a couple more coworkers today at the library. I ran into Jailbait just as I was getting ready to leave too. I have to remember not to fully trust the condition of the DVDs when I borrow them from the library. I borrowed Bambi, but can’t watch it on my laptop.
Then I hopped on the bus to PP to pick up my pills. I had hoped that they’d give me ten packs this time, but they only gave me five. Damn it. At least I didn’t have to wait long; I just ended up waiting about twenty minutes, which is a lot sooner than I normally have to wait there. What seemed odd to me was that on my receipt, the lady marked it off for seven packs, except I only brought home five. I didn’t realize it until after I had stepped out of the clinic and was too lazy to go back in. It’s not like I’m losing much anyway since I don’t pay for my pills. I almost feel bad for exploiting them so considering I do have insurance, but I would have to pay ten dollars a month for it and have to come back each month. It’s also because it’s quite hard for me to get a hold of my doctor on the phone and I’d rather not have to pay the fifteen dollar co-pay. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but as a college student with no job… it does.
That’s weird, no? I can go out and spend about twenty dollars on a dress, but not ten or fifteen for pills. Oh well. I never said that I had to make sense. I just am who I am and most of the time, I like myself.
Anyway, I should head out and eat some dinner now. Maybe Bambi will work on the DVD player outside.
