When Today Was Really Nice

I went to my first gymnastics meet today. Cal lost to U of Washington, but it wasn’t by a whole lot. I went to support the team and because I know two of the girls on the team. I believe that our weakest event was the high beam, but other than that, the girls looked great out there. I’ve always admired gymnasts because it looks so cool and that it seems as if you need an extraordinary amount of talent to be able to do half of the stuff they do.

I’m seriously in love with the Ken Oak Band. I just bought their two albums a few days ago and I can’t wait until they arrive in the mail so I can listen to the music everywhere I go. I hope they come back to Berkeley soon to perform.

This has been quite a nice weekend. Yesterday was quiet and calm. SB had work and I did my best to study a lot, but I got sidetracked by the dirty apartment. My dad came up to drop off a few things I needed for a group project since I couldn’t go home any time soon.

Other than the gymnastics meet, I didn’t do too much either. I ended up taking a nap while I tried reading my Economics book. What can I say? I’m bad with reading textbooks. They put me to sleep in an instant.

I’m somewhat in the mood for sushi, but I have too much food at the apartment since my mother gave my dad so much for me. Oh my goodness… I have so many snacks to eat.

Anyway, I have really good ice cream waiting for me: Coldstone’s Founder’s Favorite. It’s delicious. Speaking of yummy food, I had the chance to taste the best tarte I’ve ever had. It was explosive and almost orgasmic. It was a hazelnut sour cherry tarte from a bakery in North Berkeley. I bit into it and in a few seconds, all the flavors hit me; it was quite euphoric.

Right… the ice cream…
