When Today Was Fun
So SB is in town to visit me and also find a job… which I am happy to announce that he has! We walked into a deli/market today around 2:30 or so and left at three after he had finished filling out the application. One of the workers told him to return at four, which SB did after stopping back at my apartment to change shirts. I didn’t go with him because I needed to meet with a group for school, but he called me before four and told me that he had gotten the job. The even more amazing news? They wanted him to work tonight. He should be out soon and after I finish this post I’m going to stop by and pick him up.
My group work was quite interesting and fun. It took us about three hours to film about three minutes worth of footage, but that’s okay. I got to dress up (kind of) as a nurse with a “perfect” appearance and red lipstick. Luckily, that’s my only scene so I don’t have to dress up for anything else.
I don’t remember much of yesterday besides the fact that SB had arrived. Let’s see here… I went to the gym before my classes since I had the time and because my first class started thirty minutes late. After that, I just wanted all of my classes to end so that way it would be three-thirty, the time SB was supposed to arrive. In AAS, we finished The Motel, which I still believe is quite a vulgar movie. Another part in the last half that bugged me was went the boy told his mother that he hated her and that she was an old woman who drove people away. It was so painful to see the look on her face after he said that. I don’t think I could ever say that to my parents; I love them a little too much for that.
Speaking of my parents… I kind of feel bad for not having been home in the last couple of weeks. It’s been about a month since I’ve been home and since then, I’ve made excuses to stay. This and next weekend are for group projects, but I believe I’m going to have to go home during the first week of March.
So today, I found out something quite interesting. According to SB, one of his (old) roommates has this knack for liking (possibly not the right word) girls that SB has liked. I realized that this might have been a possibility when he and discussed a few of my previous protected posts. See, since I use the plug-in Counterize II, I have a log of all the IPs that visit this particular journal. On the very first protected post that was meant for SB, this particular IP address had accessed the post. At the time, I thought that SB had accessed it, but after we talked, I realized that he was not the first to access that particular post.
Also, he told me that he did not find out about this journal until at least two weeks after it started and by then, he already had his new laptop, therefore a new IP. Since I can recognize the new IP when he was at his apartment, I noticed that the first IP I noticed and his IP were always checking the site around the same time, if not at different times during the day. It didn’t make sense to me as to why he would have visited with two different IPs. My initial thought was that his brother had visited my page, but SB explained that the only way it would have been possible was to go through my MySpace. Unless he has it bookmarked in his browser, I have currently set my profile to private, therefore concealing any links I have to my page.
The other explanation about his old roommate makes sense too since I have not heard too many flattering things about him. Of course, I’m always one to give any person a chance to explain his or herself, but this still makes me feel slightly uneasy.
Anyway, I don’t believe there’s much else to update on. SB and I spend a lot of time together and I’m quite happy with that. It’s funny though because his friends want to meet the girl that was able to make him fall in such a short amount of time. I kind of feel victorious knowing that, but of course I absolutely had no intention of establishing a romantic relationship with him. We didn’t even call our first date a date! I thought that I was going to spending the day with a cool friend… and just a friend… but I guess something else had happened by the end of the day and since then, it’s been a wonderful ride. I know that there will be flat tires and overheated engines on the way, but as long as we stick through it together, I think that everything will be alright.
