When Today Was Particularly Quiet

I got a bit of work done today. I washed and dried two loads of laundry, read about a third of my book for AAS, and did a few Stats problems. What I really feel like doing is cleaning the apartment. It’s not completely dirty, but I want to vacuum, mop, and clean the bathroom. However, I know that I should be doing my schoolwork instead. I’d hint to my roommate, but she’s gone for the weekend, so until Monday night, I have the place to myself.

Yesterday was an errand-filled day. My first stop was to the Red Cross Blood Drive (again). Unfortunately, I left quite depressed. I was deferred again for another low hemoglobin (iron) count. I don’t understand what went wrong though since I took my supplements and I ate beef. I had been relatively healthy for that week, but my count only increased by 0.1, still making me 1.1 short of the minimum. It upsets me because I feel as if I’m… useless. It’s as if I can’t do anything to help those in need and here I am with a relatively healthy body. I just… I dunno. I just want to help.

Anyway, after that, I stopped by the Ethnic Studies Library to write in my AAS group journal, laminated my pictures, exchanged my pants, bought a steel ruler, and stopped by the bead store. I didn’t really leave with too much stuff, but I did end up with a little more than I had intended to return with.

Crap, now I’m all depressed again thinking about my rejection.

I bought a new bouquet of flowers today. It’s really pretty and I’m pretty happy with the selection. On the way back, I decided to stop by a tattoo & piercing place, Zebra. I had been there once before when I got my second earlobe piercings and thought I’d stop by again tonight. I had actually been thinking about getting another lobe piercing for a while now and I guess I just decided to get it done tonight. I thought I was going to get the diamond studs instead of the balls, but by the time I realized it, he had already stuck them in, so I didn’t want to make a fuss. It’s still newly pierced and pains me a bit, but I’ll live.

So… Jason Statham? Hot. Jason Statham in The Transporter? Very hot. But I’ll admit that I didn’t watch the movie for that reason only; it was just a nice bonus to see him kicking ass shirtless. Oh well. I don’t need him to save the day for me because I’ve got my own superhero and he’s much better than Jason Statham.
