When Today Was Somewhat Productive
Today went relatively okay I suppose. I woke up in time for my biology class, but didn’t go because right before I left, I was trying to open the DMZ port for my computer, but I noticed that my torrent downloads were still slow. It took me a while to figure out that there is also another firewall on the modem (since we use a router) and I had to open the DMZ port for the router. Not to mention the fact that for some random and sporadic times, the connection between the modem and router would be lost and I’d have to reset it. Bah.
Anyway, I said this was a productive day and it was. I went to my Economics discussion and lecture, to Wet Seal to exchange my jeans and bought more and sunglasses, bought lunch, went to my Statistics discussion, rushed quickly to University Hall to pick up a refund check, walked quickly to my AAS discussion, bought mouthwash, and finally returned the rented DVDs. All of that happened within six hours? Yes, six hours.
After I came home, I left again for dinner this time with a few of the KDPhi sisters. N, the vice president, called and invited me to join them and a few other girls for sushi. There were about seven girls there, two of which are rushees (including me). I kind of felt a little intimidated because they were talking about all these events and people that I didn’t know. I tried to make the conversation a bit more generic, but it was a bit difficult.
I’ve been home since 6 or so and haven’t really done much except finish the latest episode of Las Vegas. I’ll start soon after this blog though.
Hmm. I feel as if this blog is too bland, like I need to spice it up or something, but honestly, my day was a relatively normal day. Nothing too out of the ordinary happened. I did think a lot though, especially in my AAS discussion when we were talking about all the different instances everybody had written about for their coming of age narrative essay. All were quite different, but mostly carried some sort of realization. My moment was when I realized that my parents really did care for me and that their yelling was because they cared.
Anyway, I feel sleepy, so I’m going to get as much done before I start to fall asleep.
