When Today Was Too Long
I need to nap. A really good nap. I kind of got one when I stopped by my old dorm to pick up a letter, but it wasn’t really a nap; I just closed my eyes for a bit. I didn’t get much sleep and did not sleep once in class today. I’ve been out since eight in the morning and I just got back about twenty minutes ago. Maybe I should take a nice bath and do the reading I need to for homework.
But yes, today was quite long. I had a biology lecture, economics discussion, and economics lecture in the morning. They were followed by a two hour break during which I tried to find some bryophyte samples for the three-hour biology lab I would have later in the afternoon. Luckily, I was able to buy two music books for $100, $80 less than what I had paid in the store for them.
There was another rush event tonight at KDPhi, but since I knew that I would be running on little sleep, I told them that I wouldn’t be able to make it. I will have to go tomorrow though for the last event and for my interview. I know that there are those who are against my rushing, especially with my house choice, but this is something I think I need to do. I don’t know how to explain it, but I think the main reason is for the companionship and the actual feeling of sisterhood I’d get from all of this. I don’t know what exactly is in store for me if I get a bid, but I guess time will tell.
I really am tired but I have some things I need to finish up and food to eat. After my biology lab ended at six, I was quite hungry and bought a hot dog. I shouldn’t have because I know I have food here at the apartment, but I was really hungry. I like food too much to go without it for too long. Bah.
Mmmm. That bubble bath sounds really good right about now…
